My passion is to teach Latin (with classics) and English. Having had the privilege of learning Latin since the age of 13, as an underprivileged child placed in the Gifted & Talented program of my comprehensive secondary school in London, to this day, I am proud to be a Classicist!
What is G.E.Q.K?
G.E.Q.K. - pronounced "geek" - stands for Genius Education for Queens and Kings. It is the brand under which I operate as a tutor and I believe represents genius education. I make it my aim to teach your child with disparate enthusiasm that they, like myself, cannot help but love learning.
Online GCSE & A-Level Tutor
I am an experienced tutor who has 14 years' private 1-to-1 tutoring experience, including with SEND students, working to ensuring quality education for students doing their GCSE and A-Levels in Latin, Classics or English Literature & Language.
Having obtained 13 GCSE - achieving an A* in both Maths and English, I can say with confidence that I thoroughly enjoyed school, and do understand that is not the case with everyone, but I do my best to make sure my students see results where possible.
I have an up-to-date enhanced DBS certificate and I am Paediatric First Aid qualified (July 2025).

Effective, engaging learning
I make sure to align myself with the curriculum and exam board to ensure the student is on the right track to achive the best they can in their GCSE or A-Level exams. I help the student to acheive their goals by endorsing them to be independent and learn the skills they need to be successful (such as good time management, and making sure they have the right resources).
I relate the learning material to real-life scenarios, to help students to engage with the content. I have a good sense of humour, too, so this helps. Most of my students think I'm funny!
I believe having the right resources is key so I try not to put limits on sourcing materials that I believe would be essentially helpful to your child's learning.
Fees & Scheduling
I work to invoice for booked lessons half a term in advance.
I aim to be flexible but emphasise the benefit to schedule regular lessons to keep a consistent routine, allowing for a gradual improvement in your child's learning.
I also aim to be affordable and hope that finances would not be a barrier to affording a good supplement to mainstream learning.
My fee is £50 per hour.
